A weight turnaround on June Stakes winner Wouldnt It Be Nice can help Zaratone reverse the result when they meet again in the Winter Dash.

Trainer Bjorn Baker has booked claiming apprentice Brodie Loy to ride the veteran sprinter in Saturday's 1200m-sprint at Randwick, bringing Zaratone into the race with 57kg.

The nine-year-old finished third in the Listed June Stakes carrying 57.5kg, 3-1/2kg more than the winner Wouldnt It Be Nice who goes up to 57.5kg this time around.

Avoid Lightning, who split the pair, runs in the Group One Tattersall's Tiara at the Gold Coast this weekend with the Baker-trained Diademe among her rivals.

"Last time Zaratone had to work hard to get to the front so hopefully it won't be the same this time," Baker said.

"We won't change anything. That's how he runs.

"He has done really well and he finished second in this race last year.

"Brodie has been on him before when he ran second to Our Boy Malachi at Rosehill and his claim brings him into the race well."

Since that Rosehill race in November, Our Boy Malachi has won three races and finished third in the Group One BTC Cup before suffering a bleeding attack when unplaced in the Doomben 10,000.

Baker does not want too much more rain in Sydney this week for Zaratone.

"He goes OK in it but I wouldn't want it to be too heavy," Baker said.

He is also hoping the track is not too soft for Diademe at the Gold Coast where she will have what is likely to be her last start before she heads to stud.

Formerly trained in New Zealand by Baker's father Murray, Diademe races for the China Horse Club which paid $740,000 for her at the recent Magic Millions sale.

A Group One winner in New Zealand, she finished eighth in the Queen Of The Turf for Murray Baker on a soft track.

"The Tiara will more than likely be her swan song so it would be nice to get one last win with her," Baker said.
