Lightly raced Sydney two-year-old Mawahibb is no certainty to make his Melbourne debut at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Mawahibb is the $3 favourite for the Silver Thomas Hanley (1200m) in early betting for Saturday's race.
Co-trainer Wayne Hawkes confirmed the half-brother to the 2014 Golden Slipper winner Mossfun was still in Sydney but had a booking to travel to Melbourne on Thursday night.
"He's still in Sydney and I haven't talked to (co-trainers) my father or Michael as yet," Hawkes said.
"He's pencilled in to come but he's drawn 10 of 11 which doesn't impress me a lot."
Mawahibb has raced twice finishing fourth on debut to Golden Slipper winner Vancouver at Rosehill in January before resuming with a narrow second to Brigadoon Rise at Canterbury on June 10.
Hawkes says Mawahibb is being considered for a Melbourne trip to escape the wet weather in Sydney and he is expecting a few more stablemates to follow.
"There's a few coming or booked to come that are getting out of that wet weather," Hawkes said.
"I had two come on Tuesday, another two or three are pencilled in for Thursday night that will be running in the next week or two."
