A new set of racing colours for one of Queensland's biggest owners made a successful city debut at Doomben on Wednesday.

Mick Crooks has had a string of top-class gallopers including, Mishani Honcho, Queensland's best-performed two-year-old this season.

Shady Daisy ($2.50) won the Rexel ASG Integracom Handicap in impressive fashion carrying Crooks' new watermelon-coloured silks with a black M.

"Mishani Viking carried them when he won in Mackay recently but that is the first time in town," Crooks said.

Jockey Brad Stewart bounced back from a fall in Saturday's Rockhampton Cup to guide Shady Daisy to the win.

Trainer Steve O'Dea continued his great run for north Queensland's Parry family when Magnus Cor ($7.50) won the Hayman Brisbane Bloodstock Bonus Plate (1110m).

"I trained for Alan and John (Parry) in Townsville before coming south. They bred Magnus Cor who is a full-sister to Heart Smart, another winner for me," O'Dea said.
