Injured jockey Amy Herrmann is showing signs of improvement but remains in intensive care in an Adelaide hospital.

The jockey's father Peter Herrmann said his daughter's condition was still listed as serious but stable, but her medical team are pleased with her progress.

Herrmann was placed in an induced coma last Friday after she fell in a jumps trial at Morphettville.

"Doctors have reduced the level of sedation over the last 24 hours and she has reacted well, being responsive to her doctors and family," the jockey's father said in a statement.

"The medical team are pleased with her progress."

Meanwhile, Queensland apprentice Sairyn Fawke was due to be released from hospital on Thursday afternoon.

Fawke was involved in a three-horse fall in Saturday's Rockhampton Cup.

Earlier this week Racing Queensland said Fawke's injuries were expected to heal without surgery.

"Sairyn is doing well in his recovery," the latest Racing Queensland statement said.
