Godolphin trainer John O'Shea is keeping a close eye on the weather as he weighs up whether to run Haussmann in the Winter Stakes at Rosehill.
Rain is forecast in Sydney on Friday and into the weekend which could tip the track into the very heavy range.
The trainer doesn't believe Haussmann can handle a genuinely wet track and says he is likely to scratch the horse from the Listed race if the predicted rain falls.
The Winter Stakes is the feature event at Saturday's meeting and Haussmann is among the favoured runners, sharing the second line of betting with the Chris Waller-trained You'll Never.
Wet track specialist Two Blue from the Kristen Buchanan yard is favourite to post her first black-type win after finishing a narrow second to Haussmann in the Civic Stakes last start.
The Gai Waterhouse-trained Liberty's Choice is the best supported runner, firming from $15 into $9.
The four-year-old has not raced since he finished unplaced in the Group Two Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley during last year's Melbourne spring carnival.
