Brad Pengelly suspended for seven meetings

Comeback jockey Brad Pengelly's recent good run hit a bump when he was suspended at Doomben on Saturday.

Pengelly, who rode Budget Bender, was charged with causing interference on the first turn in the Des Lambart Memorial (1600m).

Stewards took into account Pengelly's good record since returning and the fact he pleaded guilty.

Pengelly was suspended for seven meetings starting next Saturday night and finishing on August 6.
