As usual, premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller will have strength in numbers at Rosehill for the San Domenico Stakes meeting.
But the best horse he takes to the track on Saturday will not be competing.
Doncaster Mile winner Kermadec will have a solo gallop after the first race ahead of his scheduled return in the Group Two Warwick Stakes a week later.
"He has to have a gallop on Saturday anyway so we thought we would take him to the races," Waller said.
"It will be a good experience for him to work in front of the crowd and have the whole race day experience.
"We just want to tick all the boxes."
Kermadec won the $3 million Doncaster in April at just his eighth start. He has had two other Group One starts for an unlucky fourth in the Australian Guineas and third behind Japanese horse Real Impact in the weight-for-age George Ryder Stakes.
He has been entered for the Cox Plate and the Caulfield Cup with Waller confident he can step up in distance as a more mature four-year-old.
Kermadec gave Waller his fifth win in the $3 million Doncaster to go with the victories of Triple Honour (2008), Rangirangdoo (2010) and Sacred Falls in 2013 and 2014.
