Cranbourne based trainer Dean Howard has been disqualified for 18 months by the RAD Board over the sale of a horse.
Howard pleaded guilty to 'dishonest, corrupt, fraudulent, improper or dishonourable action or practice in connection with racing' over the sale of promising galloper Convincible.
The trainer sold the son of I Am Invincible to Hong Kong interests without the consent of all owners while informing some of a lower final sale price, keeping the extra funds for his own purposes.
Howard's disqualification commences on August 21.
Convincible was successful over 1200m at Flemington in January and was a last start third in the Group Three Zeditave Stakes at Caulfield in February before heading to Hong Kong.
