Andrew Noblet was on edge after the win of Sistine Spirit at Sandown.

He had just watched the daughter of Big Brown score a last-stride win on Wednesday when his mind switched to South Australia.

Thirty minutes after Sistine Spirit saluted, Noblet watched as By The Grace won the Listed Balaklava Cup thanks to a rails-hugging ride from Clare Lindop.

While By The Grace was giving his stable a black-type victory, Noblet has bigger plans for Sistine Spirit.

The filly is a half-sister to Group winners Sistine Angel and Sistine Demon and Noblet believes Sistine Spirit is capable of emulating that pair.

He doesn't hold big spring plans and thinks the filly will be capable of providing the stable with a better win than a benchmark race in the autumn.

"Out of all the family she's one we pinpointed early that will get over ground," Noblet said.

"I think she's still six months away from furnishing into a nice filly.

"We might give her another run and then put her away, but we'll see how she comes though this.

"She's a lovely horse and relaxes well and has a nice future ahead of her."

Noblet said it was exciting to win a race for connections who own the dam Famous Painter and have raced all her progeny.
