Chris Waller has dominated the past three runnings of the Chelmsford Stakes and the numbers will be in his favour when he bids to continue that trend at Randwick on Saturday.
Waller has confirmed his intention to run all 11 horses he has paid up for in the Group Two race, including Hawkspur who will be chasing a hat-trick of wins in the feature.
As a result, Waller-trained horses will comprise almost three-quarters of the Chelmsford Stakes field with a record nine Group One winners from one stable to line up.
Royal Descent will be among the race favourites after she broke a long drought from the winner's circle with a last-start Warwick Stakes victory.
Stablemate and Doncaster Mile winner Kermadec is also expected to be competitive with Waller nominating Beaten Up as the pick of his remaining runners.
Godolphin will have at least two starters in BMW winner Hartnell and Complacent with It's Somewhat an emergency.
The Chelmsford is one of five stakes races on Saturday's Randwick program which also includes the return of Golden Slipper placegetter English in the Furious Stakes.
The John Thompson-trained First Seal will make her seasonal return from a wide gate in the Tramway Stakes after recovering from the foot abscess that forced her scratching from the Warwick Stakes two weeks ago.
