Racing media commentator Brent Zerafa has been found guilty of conduct prejudicial to racing.
The charge centred around Zerafa tipping two horses in a race on TVN in January when he had received information about another horse.
Before the race, Zerafa received text messages from John Camilleri saying he had been helping "Kav's" horses for the past five weeks and telling him to watch Palazzo Pubblico, the eventual winner.
Camilleri is one of several people found guilty in the case against trainer Sam Kavanagh over cobalt and race day treatments to his horses.
Racing NSW stewards rejected submissions from Zerafa's legal counsel that they did not have jurisdiction to charge him.
Stewards have not yet set a date to consider what penalty they might impose on Zerafa.
