John Gosden will assess the likely weather conditions before determining which races he will target with stable stars Golden Horn and Jack Hobbs.
Both are prominent in markets for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, but if the ground is soft at Longchamp, Gosden admits he will not be keen to take on Treve given her display in the Prix Vermeille last week.
With the Champion Stakes and the Breeders' Cup also options, Gosden needs to weigh up who goes where.
"I've never seen a horse skip through ground that soft like Treve did. To that extent, I would be wary if it's soft ground," Gosden said.
"Both hold entries in the Champion Stakes 13 days later and the way I look at it is they could run in the Arc and Breeders' Cup, or the Champion Stakes.
"Both could go for the Arc, but if it turns up soft you won't see Golden Horn there, while I would not be surprised if Jack Hobbs winds up in the Champion Stakes. There are many permutations.
