Premier Sydney trainer Chris Waller has launched his bid for a third Doncaster Mile win with 21 entries for the $2 million race.

But missing from his nomination is Rangirangdoo, the veteran sprinter-miler who won the race in 2010.

The Australian Turf Club received 190 entries for the Doncaster when the entry deadline passed on Tuesday with Rangirangdoo and the unbeaten mare Atlantic Jewel representing high-profile omissions from the famous Randwick race on April 20.

"There's no Rangirangdoo this year because he'll be set for a Queensland winter carnival campaign," Waller's racing manager Liam Prior said.

Waller clearly dominates the Doncaster Mile entry with a mixture of established stars, promising three-year-olds and some imports yet to race in Australia.

Group One winners from his yard among his entries are Albert The Fat, Danleigh and Shoot Out, runner-up in last year's race.

Sacred Falls, an unbeaten New Zealand three-year-old who won the Group One 2000 Guineas at his last start, is a newcomer to Waller's team who has also been nominated.

Gai Waterhouse, who will chase an eighth victory in the race, has nominated 14 horses headed by last year's winner More Joyous.

There will also be established Group One firepower from Tulloch Lodge in crack three-year-old Pierro, Epsom Handicap winner Fat Al, Laser Hawk and Glencadam Gold.

The Queen's horse Carlton House, Melbourne Cup runner-up Fiorente and the richly talented Proisir add further depth to Waterhouse's nomination.

Caulfield Guineas hero All Too Hard, the $25 million colt who ran second in the Cox Plate, is one of only two entries from Hawkes Racing.

Victorian trainer David Hayes has the second biggest entry with 15 nominations, including Dansili colt Wrotham Heath, a 2012 Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale purchase.

Trans Tasman trainer Michael Moroney and Randwick-based Anthony Cummings have each entered nine horses.

Peter Snowden and Peter Moody have seven each, one more than Guy Walter.

Snowden's representation is top heavy with three-year-olds, including this season's Golden Rose winner Epaulette.

Doncaster weights will be released on March 3.
