Champion Hong Kong trainer John Moore is looking to former Sydney sprinter Not Listenin'tome as the local hope in the Group One Sprint at the International meeting.

Formerly trained by Hawkes Racing, Not Listenin'tome was a Group Three winner in Australia and runner-up to Zoustar in the 2013 Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes.

The winner of two Group Three races in Hong Kong, Not Listenin'tome will put his credentials on the line in Saturday's International Trial at Sha Tin.

Last year's International Sprint winner Aerovelocity will miss the International Sprint on December 13 after pulling up from his last in the Premier Bowl with cardiac arrhythmia.

"There really is room for a nice sprinting prospect here at the moment and I'm keeping my eyes open to buy the right young sprinter," Moore told the South China Morning Post.

"In the short term, I hope we can see the best of Not Listenin'tome on the weekend and he can make his case for the International next month.

"I admit the jury is still out on whether he's our next big sprinter, but there was a lot to like about his convincing win first-up this season and then he had real excuses behind Able Friend last time."

Not Listenin'tome was caught wide from an awkward draw in the Premier Bowl and finished sixth behind Able Friend.

"I like to think he can win this and be competitive on December 13, but to maintain my confidence I really want to see him one, two or three on Saturday," Moore said.

Hawkes Racing will leave a decision on Chautauqua's participation in the Sprint until the last moment.

Australia's leading sprinter was beaten in the Darley Classic by Delectation at his most recent start.
