Danny Beasley out with broken ankle

Friday 20 November 2015, 6:38am

Just two weeks after making a return from a rib injury, jockey Danny Beasley has been sidelined again with a broken ankle.

Beasley was injured when he came off his mount on the way to the barriers before a race at Wagga Wagga on Thursday.

Initial fears he had suffered a back injury were allayed after he had scans at the Wagga Wagga Base Hospital but the broken ankle will keep him off the scene for some weeks.

The multiple Group One winning jockey returned to Sydney earlier this year after a long stint in Singapore.

He spend eight weeks out with the rib injury and had three scheduled rides at Rosehill on Saturday.
