Another Cup success for Dato Tan Chin Nam

Friday 20 November 2015, 5:47pm

Four-time Melbourne Cup-winning owner Dato Tan Chin Nam has notched a first victory in a Cup of another kind.

Colour Of Money lived up to his $3 favouritism to win Friday's Bong Bong Cup (1560m) at the picturesque racecourse in the NSW Southern Highlands.

The track is little more than 7km from Dato Tan's Think Big Stud where Colour Of Money's sire Pendragon stands.

Ridden by Ricky Blewitt, Colour Of Money beat Scottish Border ($10) by three-quarters of a length with Vodnik ($13) another two lengths third.

Dato Tan's four Melbourne Cup winners were trained by the late Bart Cummings whose grandson James is now at the helm of the Randwick stable.
