Two Caulfield-trained three-year-olds striving to keep their records intact have been the best supported runners for Saturday's Flemington meeting.
The Clinton McDonald-trained Love Days and the Peter Moody-prepared Vostok are unbeaten in their two visits to the racetrack.
Love Days has graduated from a Warrnambool maiden victory to success at Moonee Valley on December 4 and has firmed from $2.20 to $1.80 for the Beachside Handicap.
Vostok has firmed from $5.50 to $3.80 for the Skipton Handicap after wins at Kilmore and Sandown.
Saturday's meeting has been brought forward because of Melbourne's forecast hot temperature which is due to peak mid-afternoon.
The first of the nine races will be at 10.30am with the final race at 2.45pm.
Other meetings in Victoria on Saturday have also been altered because of the weather.
The provincial meeting at Colac starts earlier at 11.07am while the Wangaratta twilight fixture has a delayed start at 5pm with a finish time of 7.57pm.
The Yea picnic meeting has been abandoned.
