As he prepares for his first Magic Millions Classic runner, Peter Snowden is also looking forward to the return of one of last season's star two-year-olds.
Snowden spent many years as the right-hand man for John Hawkes before becoming a private trainer for Sheikh Mohammed's Darley, preparing many home-bred stars including Sepoy.
He began a new venture 18 months ago as a public trainer in partnership with his son Paul and went to his first Gold Coast Magic Millions sale as a buyer in January.
The stand-out among the yearlings that came to the stable is Capitalist, favourite for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on January 9.
While he is excited about that race, Snowden he is also eager to get dual Group One winner Pride Of Dubai back to the track later that month.
The winner of the Blue Diamond Stakes and Sires' Produce, Pride Of Dubai missed the spring because of bone bruising.
"He's coming along well and is to galloping now," Snowden said.
"The plan is to give him a barrier trial in the first week of January and go to the Expressway Stakes later in the month."
The trainer has 2011 Blue Diamond-Golden Slipper winner Sepoy in front of any other two-year-old he has trained but Capitalist's profile is building after his comfortable win in Friday's Wyong Magic Millions, his second win from as many starts.
The colt is favourite for both the Magic Millions and the Golden Slipper but whether he can handle both remains to be seen.
"We have to see how he goes in the Magic Millions first but it's only nine weeks then to the Slipper so it might be hard," Snowden said.
"He has come through the Wyong win really well."
When he decided to branch out with his son, Snowden expected to have a small team of around 30.
Such has been the demand for their services the Randwick stable allocation is now at 114 after they were given another 24 boxes on Friday.
"The support has been unbelievable," Snowden said.
