Hall on the board in comeback from injury

Thursday 31 December 2015, 6:24am

Jockey Nick Hall won't be resting on his laurels after getting off the mark in his comeback from injury.

Hall had been sidelined since May after two operations on his injured right wrist, returning with six rides at Caulfield on Boxing Day.

He had two rides at Mornington on Sunday before heading to Sandown on Wednesday to land his first winner since his return on the Robert Smerdon-trained So You Drink.

On Friday Hall has four mounts at Flemington and a further three at Moonee Valley on Saturday.

"The biggest battle coming off long breaks is timing," Hall said.

"Timing is really critical."

Hall showed he had the timing right when he brought So You Drink home with a strong finishing burst to win the William Hill Handicap.
