Adam Hyeronimus has ridden through the pain barrier at Rosehill to snare a winner after a fall in the first race which has cost Kerrin McEvoy a four week-suspension.
Hyeronimus came off the Gai Waterhouse-trained Northern Fire in Saturday's two-year-old event.
He rode in two more races before winning on the Bjorn Baker-trained Selita but after his next ride on Caped Crusader he was forced to stand down.
Hyeronimus has a suspected broken collar bone and was also complaining of a sore elbow, believing he had aggravated an old injury.
To add insult to injury, Taylor Marshall picked up the winning ride on the Les Bridge-trained Richard The First in the last race.
"When I pulled the whip through on Caped Crusader, that's when I felt my elbow," Hyeronimus said.
McEvoy was judged to be the offender in the incident for shifting out on Ajani near the 250m mark.
He pleaded guilty to careless riding and will begin his ban after next Saturday's Magic Millions meeting where he rides Slumber Party in the $2 million Classic.
