Jockey Luke Currie has been rewarded for his work for the Lindsay Park stable with a book of four rides at Caulfield on Saturday.

Currie has stepped in to fill the void left by Michael Walker who is on the sidelines after undergoing hip surgery.

Along with Nick Hall, who returned to race riding on Boxing Day, Currie is picking up more rides for the Lindsay Park stable of David Hayes and Tom Dabernig.

"He's been helping us out with a bit of trackwork," Dabernig said.

"And he's ridden a few winners for us without having a heap of rides."

One of those previous winners is Devilishly who lines-up in the Timothy Rourke Handicap over 1400m.

Devilishly made a winning debut at Yarra Glen on December 18, winning a 1200m maiden.

"She won with a bit of authority and looks to have improved a bit," Dabernig said.

"At this time of year, in a fillies race, she should be competitive.

"I'd like to see this filly in another race or two to be conclusive about her ability."

Dabernig has a healthy opinion of Najmaat, another Currie ride, down to make her debut in the Louise Chapple Plate.

A $220,000 yearling purchase at the Sydney Easter Yearling Sale, Najmaat is among nominations for next month's Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield.

The daughter of Hinchinbrook has had a couple of jump-outs in readiness for her first start.

"We took her to Wangaratta and she was very green and got back but made a heap of ground and then she had a jump-out at Flemington and looked quite good," Dabernig said.

"She seems a nice filly but if she doesn't get it right on the day, we'll probably give her some more time."

The Lindsay Park stable will give Flying Light the chance of making it to the Helen Cox Handicap after being scratched from Sandown on Wednesday.

"He burst an abscess on his coronet band, so we've put him in Saturday, hoping he'll be right," Dabernig said.
