Chris Munce continued the best week of his fledgling training career when Reward For Riches gave him his fifth win from his past six runners at Ipswich.
Starting favourite, Reward For Riches ($2.50) went straight to the front to beat Yeezy ($2.60) by a length in the Channel 7 2YO Maiden Plate on Wednesday.
A Multiple Group One-winning jockey, Munce started training in January last year and had a treble at Beaudesert on Sunday and a winner with his only runner at Ipswich last week.
"Things are going OK and we have about 30 horses spread between Eagle Farm and Caloundra stables. We have a few horses from the south but also some nice youngsters such as Reward For Riches," he said.
He said Reward for Riches was still immature and had only one jump-out before Wednesday's win.
"She has a way to go yet. She will probably go home, eat up and have a sleep. I will more than likely give her a break," he said.
Reward For Riches is by Captain Sonador who won the 2010 Epsom Handicap and Munce hopes she will get further later in her career.
Jim Byrne rode Reward For Riches, but Munce is also tipping his stable apprentice Michael Murphy to leave his mark on racing after riding 28 provincial and country winners this season.
"He is a good kid who has just got his provincial licence. He has a way to go but watch out for him in the future," Munce said.
