Lot 512 Pluck x Dream Leica Colt
Parades are under way here at the 2016 Classic Yearling Sale which starts at 6pm this Saturday the 6th February. Vinery Stud is well represented throughout the entire sale with nine of their Stallions siring over 50 yearlings out of the 575 catalogued.
A highlight of the Vinery Stud draft is lot 512 a grey colt by young sire Pluck out of the well related mare Dream Leica. Dream Leica has produced three winners from four foals including the Hong Kong based Golden Bauhinia, winner of over $900,000 in prizemoney.
The second dam Leica or Not (Kendor) has produced the likes of Leica Guv (Deputy Governor) NZ Champion 3yo 2012-2013, Australian Guineas winner (Gr 1) Light Fantastic (Danehill Dancer) and Group 3 winner Lectrice (Encosta de Lago).
Pluck was an explosive racehorse himself winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and has stamped himself as a sire to watch with his first crop of yearlings selling to $100,000 in the sale ring. Standing for a mere $9,900 inc GST Pluck radiates value and quality. Be sure to check out the 22 yearlings consigned by Vinery Stud and the other five yearlings sired by Pluck at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
