Signoff scratched from Caulfield race

Friday 23 September 2016, 4:59pm

Melbourne Cup hopeful Signoff has been scratched from a race for the second weekend in a row.

The Darren Weir-trained Signoff was withdrawn from last Saturday's Hill Stakes in Sydney after he knocked his leg the day before he was due to be floated north from Victoria.

The 2014 Melbourne Cup fourth placegetter was instead re-routed to Saturday's Harry White Classic (2400m) at Caulfield but was withdrawn on Friday.

"Signoff scratched from Harry White Classic. Unfortunately vets still not happy with leg. Work out further plans next couple of days," Darren Weir Racing posted on Twitter on Friday.
