The presence of two horses being groomed for the best races for stayers during the autumn carnival will give trainer Chris Waller contrasting Apollo Stakes chances.
Group One winners Who Shot Thebarman and Grand Marshal make their return in the weight-for-age expected to be dominated by their glamour stablemate Winx.
Who Shot Thebarman is a $71 chance and Grand Marshal is the rank outsider at $201 as they start their campaigns aimed at the BMW and the Sydney Cup.
"I just hope they don't get tailed off which I doubt they will," Waller said.
"They are both good horses. In particular Who Shot Thebarman who has run eye-catching first-up races over a mile."
Winx will be shooting for her sixth win in a row when she resumes in the Apollo and her jockey Hugh Bowman will be chasing a third win in the race.
Waller has one Apollo Stakes to his name, winning it 2010 when Danleigh defeated stablemate Rangirangdoo at Rosehill.
