Defcon out of Blue Diamond Prelude

Defcon has been withdrawn from Blue Diamond Stakes markets with the news he will not run in the Prelude at Caulfield.

Co-trainer Peter Snowden was not happy enough with the colt's fitness to send him on the float trip from Sydney to Melbourne for Saturday's lead-up for colts and geldings.

He was favourite for the race with Flying Artie now at the top of the market.

Defcon had been the second favourite behind Extreme Choice for the $1.5 million Blue Diamond Stakes on February 27.

The colt is entered for a barrier trial at Rosehill on Monday.
