Underrated sprinting mare Tuscan Sling capped a successful day for Darren Weir with a solid victory at Caulfield.

The success of the five-year-old in the Group Three Bellmaine Stakes was Weir's fourth winner of the afternoon.

He collected the opening race with Falago before adding black-type wins with Australian Guineas co-favourite Mahuta, iron-horse Burning Front and Tuscan Sling.

With a large team of horses in work at his Ballarat and Warrnambool bases, Weir praised his team for the stable's success.

"They're the ones who deserve the credit," Weir said.

"I'm sure they'll get rewarded with a party or two after this today."

Tuscan Sling has won her past two starts and Weir is looking at trying the mare at 1400m, picking out the Mannerism Stakes in two weeks time back at Caulfield.

Burning Front recorded his first black-type win in taking out the TS Carlyon Cup.

It was the 20th start of a campaign that began almost a year ago after joining Weir's Warrnambool stable from John McArdle.

Burning Front has finished in the placings in 19 of those outings, registering eight wins.
