Melbourne apprentice Regan Bayliss is heading to England for two months to further his racing education.
Bayliss leaves next month on a racing scholarship initiated by the International Federation of Horse Racing Academies and funded by Sheikh Mansour in Abu Dhabi.
It's the same scholarship that saw English apprentice Tom Marquand come to Melbourne to spend five weeks for the Lindsay Park operation.
Apprenticed to Peter Moody, Bayliss will commence his stay at the Newmarket stables of Red Cadeaux's trainer Ed Dunlop.
He will also ride work for other Newmarket stables in the hope of picking up race rides.
"It's been one of my childhood dreams to go overseas and to get the opportunity so early in my career is terrific," Bayliss said.
Bayliss has booted home 145 winners since having his first race ride in 2013.
