Manny Gelogatis has been called to front stewards over social media and radio comments he made criticising the decision to let Mourinho run at Caulfield after he had been kicked before the race.
The racing manager for his brother, Mourinho's trainer Peter Gelogatis, Manny Gelogatis believed Mourinho should have been scratched from the C F Orr Stakes.
The stable star was kicked by Fenway when the horses were behind the barriers on February 13.
After racing in a forward position, Mourinho weakened in the straight, beating just one runner home in the race won by Suavito.
Racing Victoria chief steward Terry Bailey said Gelogatis had been called to an inquiry on Thursday over comments he made about RV head vet Brian Stewart on Twitter and a Brisbane radio station.
It is not the first time stewards have held an inquiry into commentary on social media.
Lee Freedman was fined $750 in 2011 after venting his frustration on Twitter over the scratching of a horse at the barriers.
Mourinho is scheduled to run at Caulfield on Saturday in the Peter Young Stakes (1800m), a race he won last year.
