Favourites draw poorly in Blue Diamond

Trainer Mick Price's fancied runners in the Blue Diamond Stakes have drawn awkward barriers for the $1.5 million race.

Favourite Extreme Choice drew out in barrier 13 with second favourite Flying Artie drawing 17 in the field of 16.

The Peter Moody-trained Hell Of An Effort drew the inside barrier with Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne's mount Kinetic Design drawing widest.
