Co-trainer Paul Snowden says Snippets Land has the right credentials to win his second stakes race at Doomben.
Snippets Land's clash with promising Brisbane horse Right Or Wrong in Saturday's Listed Tattersall's Members' Cup (1600m) will be one of the highlights of the meeting.
The gelding won at Randwick two starts ago over Saturday's distance, beating handy Sydney metropolitan performers Marenostro, Slow Pace and stakeswinning veteran Monton.
Snippets Land cost $120,000 at the Magic Millions sales as a yearling and has returned more than $200,000 to his owners including a feature win in the Listed National Sprint in Canberra last year.
The gelding started his career with John O'Shea but has been with the Peter and Paul Snowden training team for his past two campaigns.
Paul Snowden said the Members' Cup was the right level of race for Snippets Land who would be joined by stablemate Wild 'N' Famous in Brisbane on Saturday.
"Snippets Land has won at stakes level and he looks suited in the Brisbane race," Snowden said.
"The distance suits, he has an in-form jockey and he can handle wet and dry tracks.
"He certainly isn't going up there for the trip."
Wild 'N' Famous has finished out of the placings in his first two runs back in Sydney but also appears well placed under the conditions of Saturday's race.
Brad Pengelly has been rewarded for his good recent form with the ride on Snippets Land while Robbie Fradd partners Wild `N' Famous.
Meanwhile, trainer John Wallace believes Ranked will strip fitter for his last-start second over 2220m at Doomben, his first run over the distance this campaign.
The horse will step out over a similar journey in the Sapphire Recruitment Hcp on Saturday.
Ranked, who did his early racing in England, carried 55.5kg when he finished runner-up two weeks ago and while he rises to 57kg on Saturday, he meets last-start conqueror Uno Five two kilograms better at the weights.
