The Golden Slipper is still on the table for stakes-winning filly Selenia.
And while trainer Robbie Griffiths admits it is an ambitious target, he and his fellow owners have not ruled it out.
The winner of a Listed race at Flemington on Saturday, Selenia is nominated for a seven-day back-up in the Group Three TBV Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes at Flemington.
Selenia sits 22nd in the latest Golden Slipper ballot order.
"I think she'd get in. I think it's more whether we think she's good enough," Griffiths said.
Griffiths said the Mick Price-trained duo of Extreme Choice and Flying Artie, who dominated last month's Blue Diamond Stakes running first and second, hade far superior form lines to his filly.
"Then you throw into the mix going in the other direction for the first time and some Sydney horses as well. She might be more likely to run midfield there than be competitive," he said.
"We'll try to think sensibly about it and see whether we have a crack at it or not.
"We've got time to wait and see. The race is changing shape every day so we'll just sit on the fence and monitor her progress at the same time."
Selenia raced on the pace in her first two starts in the Blue Diamond lead-up races at Caulfield then came from back in the field in Saturday's 1000m-race down the Flemington straight.
"We're just going to let the dust settle and make a decision during the week what we do," Griffiths said.
