Sultry Feeling has claimed back-to-back Group Three wins, adding the Birthday Card to her win in the Triscay Stakes.
The James Cummings-trained Sultry Feeling, the $4.60 favourite, was the only horse to win from a double-digit barrier on Saturday at Rosehill.
She had to fight hard to beat Lucky Can Be ($26) by a half neck with the same margin to third-placed Perignon ($6).
Sultry Feeling had one major thing in her favour - Blake Shinn who had won the Golden Slipper earlier in the day.
"We didn't draw the gate today. I didn't get Hugh (Bowman). I got Blake who has just won the Golden Slipper and we were just talking in the trainer's hut about jockeys after winning majors and how focused they are in the subsequent race and he did a very good job," Cummings said.
The trainer said the mare would head to the $300,000 Sapphire Stakes at Randwick next month.
