Nigel Blackiston has Suavito on target for the Queen Of The Turf Stakes in Sydney.
But before that a stablemate will press her claims for her own stakes missions when she races at Sandown.
Suavito runs in Saturday's Group One for fillies and mares at Randwick where she will be out to add a third elite win to her CV.
On Wednesday at Sandown, Blackiston has black-type-placed mare Amarela in The Cove Hotel Handicap (1600m) as she continues on a path towards stakes race targets in South Australia.
Amarela was placed in Group Three company last spring over 1600m at Caulfield and Blackiston was delighted with the mare's most recent start at Bendigo for third in the Gold Bracelet (1400m).
"Had it been a mile the other day she possibly would have won," Blackiston said.
"She got home nicely."
Amarela has 60kg in Wednesday's benchmark race for fillies and mares but apprentice Ben Thompson will offset that will his 3kg claim.
Blackiston is aiming Amarela at the Group Two Queen Of The South Stakes (1600m) on May 7 and Listed Centaurea Stakes (2000m) two weeks later at Morphettville, noting he had Let's Make Adeal finish second and first respectively in the corresponding races last year.
Suavito, unplaced in the Australian Cup last start, continued her preparations for Saturday's Group One assignment with a gallop in Melbourne on Tuesday.
"I'm very pleased with her," Blackiston said.
"She worked lovely this morning at Flemington with Desert Jeuney and she's in really good order."
