Chatswood Stud has announced that their two resident stallions Reward For Effort (Exceed And Excel) and Anacheeva (Anabaa) will stand for fees of $16,500 (inc GST) and $6,500 (inc GST) respectively in 2016, with Reward For Effort’s fee increased from $11,000 last year.

From two crops of racing age Reward For Effort has sired three stakes winners in the Group Three winners Gold Symphony and Take Pride as well as the Listed winner Dalradian. He is currently sitting fourth in the leading second-season sires table in Australia by earnings and is the leading Victorian-based sire in that table. His progeny were also well received in the sales ring this year, selling for up to $380,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

Winner of the Caulfield Guineas (Gr 1, 1600m), Anacheeva will be entering his fifth year at stud and his fee remains unchanged from last year’s level. His yearlings sold for up to NZ$70,000 at the New Zealand Bloodstock Select Yearling Sale and for $65,000 at the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.
