Trainer John Sadler is planning a Stradbroke Handicap mission for Charmed Harmony after the gelding held on to win at Caulfield.
Charmed Harmony sat to the outside of leader Sistine Demon in Saturday's Charter Keck Cramer Plate (1400m) and fought him off in the straight, lasting to beat Lord Durante by a half neck.
Sadler wants to give the gelding a shot at the Group One Stradbroke (1400m) in June at Eagle Farm in Brisbane, a race he won with Linton three years ago.
"It's probably a shot at the stumps from a fair way out but if it happened to rain and the track was softer, he's as honest as the day is long and he could acquit himself very well," Sadler said.
The trainer said Charmed Harmony would probably have another start before the Stradbroke.
