A Victorian apprentice is facing two charges over a $20 bet placed at a picnic race meeting.
Liam Riordan will front the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Tuesday to answer a charge relating to the placing of a bet at the Woolamai picnic meeting on April 9 and another of giving false or misleading evidence.
Riordan made his race riding debut in March and has had 28 rides for two wins, one at Deniliquin in NSW and the other in a maiden at Wangaratta, both last week.
