Having Just A Blur in the same form for the Dark Jewel Classic as she was in winning the Wagga Wagga Town Plate is barely a challenge for Paul Jones and Barbara Joseph.

The races are nine days apart, but Jones insists the less time the better between outings works for one of the most honest horses in the Canberra stable he runs with his mother.

That means Just A Blur should be be just as good at Scone on Saturday as she was in capturing the feature sprint during the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup carnival last week.

"She's got a good profile when she backs up. She won the Goulburn Cup on a nine-day back-up after the Snake Gully Cup at Gundagai," Jones said.

In her first start since finishing midfield in the Emancipation Stakes at Rosehill in March, Just A Blur came from last to win at Wagga Wagga for Mathew Cahill, claiming the scalp of well-performed sprinter Sure And Fast.

"When we put her out we marked this little program for her and two weeks from here there is the Glenlogan Park Stakes in Brisbane," Jones said.

Cahill will keep the ride at Scone in which Just A Blur has the 54kg limit in the Group Three race.

"His patience suits her. He's a very patient, no-fuss rider."

Just A Blur is having her busiest season on the track and Jones has no qualms about asking her to do it all again in 2016-2017.

"She's one of those horses which keeps coming up," he said.

"The way she pulled up post-race from Wagga she could have raced yesterday."

The David Pfieffer-trained Cradle Me is the 59kg topweight from She's Clean on 58kg in the $200,000 race.

Joe Pride's Target In Sight has 59kg in the Arrowfield Ortensia Stakes with last year's winner That's A Good Idea on 58.5kg.

The 2014 Stradbroke Handicap winner River Lad is topweight for the Luskin Star Stakes.

In-form middle-distance galloper Mighty Lucky is the 60kg topweight for the Scone Cup on Friday ahead of his Hawkesbury Gold Cup conqueror Amovatio on 59.5kg.
