Cunco will break new ground at Newbury when he becomes the first offspring produced by champion Frankel to race.
The John Gosden-trained two-year-old colt will contest the second division of a 1200m maiden on Friday (Saturday AEST) at Newbury.
Frankel was unbeaten in 14 starts, 10 at Group One level and Cunco was also his first foal on the ground.
"He's a neat little horse - a typical January foal - and we need we need to get a run into him," Gosden said.
"He's a first foal and quite a petite horse as many are, but he's been pleasing me in his work."
