A strong track gallop has convinced connections to start three-year-old Divine Centuri in the Doomben 10000.
Devine Centuri is still eligible for restricted class but trainer Stuart Kendrick has a big enough opinion of her to give the filly her chance in the Group One race on Saturday..
"The work was good enough for us to roll the dice and have a go at the 10000," Kendrick said.
Divine Centuri won her last start in a Doomben three-year-old race after missing a run in the Gold Coast Guineas.
Kendrick has managed her carefully, aborting a Sydney trip when she drew poorly in the PJ Bell Stakes at Randwick during The Championships.
"The winter has always been our aim," Kendrick said.
Few three-year-old fillies run in the 10000 with Sea Siren in 2012 the only one to win it.
Bobby El-Issa will return to ride in Brisbane aboard Dreams Aplenty in the BRC Sires' Produce Stakes.
"When Luke Dittman elected to ride my other two-year-old Royal Tithe in the Sires' I had no hesitation in calling on Bobby. We have been mates for years," trainer John Zielke said.
El-Issa has been riding after a comeback from serious illness and has been based in Sydney.
He rode a treble at Muswellbrook on Sunday.
