Silent Sedition to have longer in paddock

Australasian Oaks runner-up Silent Sedition is having a longer break than planned because of a muscle problem but trainer Andrew Noblet hopes it won't impact spring plans.

Noblet said the filly was found to have a muscle strain across her back a couple of weeks ago and would need to spend extra time in the paddock.

"She'll just want an extra two or three weeks just to let it settle down, but it probably doesn't affect her too much," Noblet said.

"Probably her goal is going to be the Myer Classic or something like that, and that's not until later on.

"We'll just get her right first. When we get her back in we'll see how she is and go from there."

Silent Sedition had a successful five-run campaign during the autumn with stakes wins in the Listed Bendigo Guineas and Group Three Auraria Stakes.

She was narrowly beaten in her main target, the Group One Australasian Oaks at Morphettville won by Abbey Marie.

Silent Sedition's stakes-winning stablemate Super Cash is set to begin her spring build-up on Monday.

Noblet said the filly would spend a couple of weeks on a water walker before returning to his stable.

Super Cash raced in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide during her five-start autumn campaign, winning the Listed Goodwood Trophy (1100m) at Flemington while she was placed in the Group Three Typhoon Tracy Stakes and Listed Redelva Stakes.

Her most recent start was a sixth in the Euclase Stakes on May 7.
