An investigation has been opened into complaints by a jockey about the "demeanour and behaviour" of trainer Troy Portelli after a race at Mornignton on Wednesday.
Jockey Dean Holland complained to stewards about Portelli's behaviour after he rode the horse Eight Bills for him in the Hareeba Stakes.
Holland told the stewards the behaviour in question followed a discussion with Portelli over the riding instructions for Eight Bills which led in the race.
Portelli was found guilty on Monday of a charge relating to abusive and unseemly language toward a clerk of the course at Seymour races last month.
He was fined $2500 by the Racing Appeals Board with $1000 suspended for 12 months.
