Qld Derby runner-up sold to Hong Kong

Queensland Derby runner-up Rodrico has been sold to Hong Kong where he will be trained by John Moore.

The Chris Waller-trained Rodrico finished second in the Derby on June 11 won by Eagle Way who will also target the Hong Kong Derby for his owner Moore.

Rodrico will be raced by Johnson Chen who owns this year's Hong Kong Derby winner Werther who ran second in two Derbys in Australia before heading overseas.

"Rodrico will head to champion trainer John Moore," Chen said.

"He's done such a great job with Werther and we can hope for continued success into the future."
