Rosehill winner Suboric will be set for a Villiers Stakes campaign but his jockey Mitchell Bell is heading for a stint on the sidelines.
Bell rode the Gerald Ryan-trained Suboric to a barnstorming win in Saturday's Club Marconi Handicap but no sooner had they crossed the line, things got messy.
Suboric made an abrupt inward move which Bell said caught him by surprise but four runners to his inside, including runner-up Dubaiinstyle ridden by Tye Angland, copped the brunt.
"I was unaware there were runners inside Tye," Bell said.
"It happened very quickly."
Stewards said Bell, who mostly rides in provincial tracks, had not made enough effort to straighten the three-year-old and suspended him for seven meetings from July 12 to 24.
For his part, Ryan was happy to see the gelding win and confirm the long-range plan to head to the Group Two Villiers Stakes (1600m) in December.
"He's getting his act together and I think he could make a Villiers horse in December," Ryan said.
"We might give him one more run this time but I'll see how he comes through this race.
"He's only a little horse and to carry 61 kilos to win is a big effort."
Blake Shinn will start a careless-riding suspension on Sunday from last week's Eagle Farm meeting and will also prepare to defend a one-month ban for his handling of Thud on June 18 when she finished fourth.
Shinn rode a double at Rosehill but had no luck when he rode Thud again to finish a half neck second to Pioneering in a fillies and mares race over 1200m.
"She was a bit stiff," Shinn said.
