Disqualified trainer Stephen Farley has been fined $1000 for comments he made to an online racing news site.
Racing NSW stewards issued the fine on Tuesday after finding Farley guilty of conduct prejudicial to the image of racing.
Farley criticised the appeal panel after he failed to have a 12-month disqualification for a cobalt offence overturned or reduced.
In issuing the fine, stewards took into account Farley was in a a highly emotive state and had apologised for what he said.
