Australian Group Three winner Vergara is on a Group One mission in New Zealand where she has been sent to be served by Tavistock.
She will race as Our Vergara for trainers Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman with the Hawke's Bay Triple Crown series a target.
After her fourth behind Winx in the Doncaster Mile, Vergara was bought by Blue Gum Farm and had one start for trainer Gerald Ryan when third in the Civic Stakes.
"She was on her way to New Zealand on the Monday after that," Blue Gum's Philip Campbell told nzracing.co.
"We bought her as a mare in training and prospective broodmare and our partner had a booking to Tavistock so we took that mare out and replaced her with Vergara.
"We also thought this would also be a very, very good opportunity to try and get some more Group One form next to the mare's name."
The opening leg of the Hastings series is the Group One Makfi Challenge on August 27 with the second leg, the Windsor Park Plate on September 17.
The breeding season starts on September 1.
Campbell said she could also run in the Livamol Classic on October 1.
"I wouldn't rule the third one out at all," Campbell said.
