Williams has upperhand in title race

Craig Williams holds the upper hand in his bid to claim a fifth Melbourne jockeys' premiership.

He heads to the final metropolitan meeting of the season at Caulfield on Saturday leading Dwayne Dunn by three with nine races remaining.

Both riders have full books with Williams looking to have better chances.

In early markets Williams has the ride on five favourites and two second favourites.

The longest-priced runner he has is Charmed Harmony at $19 in the day's feature, the Group Three Bletchingly Stakes.

Dunn has mounts on only two favourites and at the other end of the scale has three runners rated at $31 or longer.
