Nominations due for spring features

Champion mare Winx is the favourite to defend her Cox Plate title ahead of nominations for the weight-for-age championship.

Entries for this year's race and the Caulfield Cup close on Tuesday with Winx at $2.80 to defend the Cox Plate.

Victoria Derby winner Tarzino and Australian Derby winner Tavago are the $15 equal favorites for the Caulfield Cup on October 15, a week before the Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Lucia Valentina is the $15 Cox Plate second favourite and is scheduled to take on Winx in the Warwick Stakes on August 20.
