William Hill to stream NSW races

Friday 5 August 2016, 6:00pm

Corporate bookmaker William Hill has gained exclusive rights to stream NSW racing on its digital platform.

In a deal announced on Friday, Racing NSW chief executive Peter V'landys said the governing body had conducted a competitive tender process before agreeing terms with William Hill, which is headed in Australia by Tom Waterhouse.

"William Hill, particularly its Australian chief executive, Mr Tom Waterhouse, have an in-depth knowledge of NSW thoroughbred racing and we are pleased to partner with them in the promotion of this great sport," V'landys said.

"Tom is an innovator and I don't believe that there is anyone that knows and understands the younger demographic as well as Tom.

"Racing needs to attract the next generation and our partnership with Tom will go a long way to achieving this objective.

"This will also bring much needed new revenue to the NSW thoroughbred racing industry."
