The benefits of Lindsay Park's stable in Adelaide has shone through at Flemington with a winning double.

Shaf, winner of the Jockey Celebration Day Handicap, joined earlier winner Zunbaqa for David Hayes, his son Ben and Tom Dabernig, after a successful campaign in Adelaide.

Ben Hayes was dispatched to Adelaide in March to set up the Lindsay Park base at Morphettville which has proven a success.

Ridden by Mark Zahra, Shaf ($11) charged away in the 1000m sprint to score by 1-1/2 lengths from Runsati ($10) with Le Bonsir ($26) 1-1/4 lengths away third.

"He found his form in Adelaide," David Hayes said.

"He went through his grades in Adelaide and if they can do that they can come here and win."

Both Shaf and Zunbaqa on return from Adelaide headed to Lindsay Park's property at Euroa in rural Victoria.

Hayes said they were given a freshen up with Shaf heading to the city stable before a jump-out win last week while Zunbaqa only arrived at Flemington on Friday night.

Hayes said he may now need to rethink the program with Shaf.

"The original plan was to run here and go over to Balaklava on cup day for a $50,000 sprint," he said.

"I might look for another race at Flemington.

"He looks a good straight horse to me."
